In the closing event at the Ducati and Ferrari ski event at Madonna di Campiglio, MotoGP Ducati rider Casey Stoner beat Formula One Ferrari driver Felipe Massa in the ice karting race.
The race comprised of Stoner, Massa, Nicky Hayden, Vittoriano Guareschi and Luca Badoer and Massa’s younger brother Eduardo.
Eduardo Massa stepped in after Kimi Raikkonen left the event early after falling ill and Marc Gene having to head back for a private F1 testing session, which was then cancelled due to bad weather.
Stoner took the lead from Felipe on the penultimate lap followed by Felipe, Badoer, Hayden, Guareschi and the younger Massa
The 25-lap race saw the drivers and riders sliding their karts, fitted with spiked tyres for grip, around the frozen lake stadium.
