Jorge Lorenzo, the Spanish double 250cc World Champion, in his first ever Moto GP race will be on Pole position for the start of the 2008 Season.
In the first qualifying session of the Moto GP World Championship in Qatar at the Losail Circuit two rookies take the first and second places on the grid.
James Toseland took second place on the Tech 3 Yamaha after being pipped at the post in the final few minutes by Lorenzo.
The American, Colin Edwards came in third to take his place on the front row, meaning that the front three riders are on Yamaha’s with Michelin tyres.
The current World Champion, Casey Stoner was in fourth place on the Ducati followed by Randy de Puniet and Nicky Hayden to complete the second row on the grid.
It is set to be a very exciting race, don’t miss it.
