It was a wet qualfiying session today for the Moto GP riders at the Donington Park round of the Bennetts British Superbike Championship.
It was World Champion Casey Stoner who dominated most of the qualifying session ahead of tomorrows British Moto GP and set a time of 1:38.232, over six-tenths faster than Valentino Rossi in second place.
Chris Vermeulen, who was leading the lap times at one stage, will start from third on the grid with Nicky Hayden in fourth.
Colin Edwards joins Hayden on the second row of the grid alongside Andrea Dovizioso on the Honda Scot.
On the third row of the grid is the Kawasaki rider Anthony West, with Ben Spies replacing the injured Loris Capirossi, and Dani Pedrosa.
Shinya Nakano rounds off the top ten riders, just edging out John Hopkins in eleventh.
James Toseland crashed on two separate occasions on the same lap and was seen being helped off track by staff and Jorge Lorenzo qualified in seventeenth place still nursing his injuries.
