Casey Stoner's Dummy

Casey Stoner

The Ducati Marlboro rider, Casey Stoner, has had arthroscopic surgery on his wrist last Thursday in Italy and left hospital the next day.

The Australian has been having problems with the injury originally suffered in 2003 and has now had two floating bodies removed plus a staple.

He also received a bone graft, a special Herbert Bone Screw System, which will help to give earlier active motion to the bone.

Jorge Lorenzo, the Fiat Yamaha rider has been photographed by an 11-year-old girl this week in aid of a calendar for ‘Bank de Sabadell’ in Spain.

Lorenzo will be featured along with eleven other stars for the Anima Fundacion Privada organisation, which help children with chronic illness.  The photo’s were taken by Carmela, who herself is suffering from Leukemia.

A very important figure in the MotoGP series, Fiorenzo Fanali, has retired after working in the World Championship for over 40-years to spend more time with his family.

The Italian has worked for MV Augusta, Cagiva, Yamaha and more recently Kawasaki, where he was crew chief to John Hopkins.

If you are wondering what the picture at the top is all about, at the end of September this year an auction was advertised with all money raised going to Riders For Health, and the prize was for the dummy that Casey Stoner spat out at Leguna Seca!    Well it made me laugh
