Marco Melandri is the latest MotoGP rider to be injured and out of this weekends Assen MotoGP after injuring his shoulder during this mornings practice session.
The San Carlo Honda Gresini rider suffered a huge highside after being on track for just 12 minutes and has since been diagnosed with a dislocated shoulder ruling him out for the remainder of the weekend.
Melandri appeared to miss his braking point at the newly modified Ruskenhoek turn and was seen going straight on, he did well to keep the bike upright but on rejoining the circuit he was thrown into the air.
